TOMY Group Operations Affected by Earthquake, Tsunami and Related Power Outages

TOMY would like again to express our heartfelt condolence and deepest sympathy to people affected suffering from the Pacific Coast of Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami, which struck the northeast region of Japan on March 11.

TOMY are deeply grateful for warm messages and concerns of our safety from many warm-hearted users and partners. TOMY hereby inform you to have confirmed the safety of all employees and their families on March 14.

 

Today, TOMY DIGITAL BIOLOGY announced the effect and situation on TOMY group.

 

Impact on facilities

 

TOMY KOGYO CO., LTD. Fukushima Factory (Asakawa-machi, Fukushima Pref.)

Some minor damages on interiors, but no damage of any products and manufacturing equipments.

TOMY Group Headquarters (Nerima-ku, Tokyo)

No damage on any interiors. While placing priority in cooperation with the planned power outages scheduled by Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO), TOMY Group Headquarters resumed operation on March 14.

Impact on production and aftersales service

TOMY KOGYO Fukushima Factory had closed for a few days to restore minor damage on some interiors and resumed production. All production lines resumed production now while confirming the supply of electricity, logistics and supplies. Spare parts are in stock for urgent aftersales service.
