UD-211 can achieve a high energy conversion efficiency which generates almost no heat. A unique circuit and a structure adopted in the design to minimize the power loss can control heat generation of the converter which may disturb the oscillation effect of ultrasonic waves and have adverse influence on the sample.

User Friendly & High Performance Unit with Numerous New Features

  • Power Meter
    The unit is equipped with a power meter to monitor the power output and set a desired output level.
  • Flash Switch
    A switch for brief runs activates the ultrasonic sound generator while being pressed.
  • Control Terminal
    The unit comes with a terminal to allow wired remote control. An optional footswitch for remote start/stop control of the ultrasonic sound generator can also be connected to this terminal, which will result in a great improvement of operating efficiency.
  • Interval Timer
    With a built-in interval timer allowing oscillations to occur once per second, a strong impact given after startup can be repeatedly applied on the sample. The rate of oscillating time per second can be also set within the range of 10 to 90% by turning the “DUTY” knob. Sound waves can be emitted intermittently, thus curbing the temperature rise of the sample.
  • Timer
    Just turn the knob to the desired number (time) on the control panel to set and start the timer, then oscillation begins. The timer can be set from 0 to 30 minutes, and a “FREE” setting for continuous oscillation over 30 minutes.

A wide variety of tips made from corrosion resistant alloys is available and autoclavable.

  • Standard Tip - TP - 012 -
    Top diameter is 14.5mm. With this tip a wide range of ultrasonic processing applications can be performed. Standard Tip TP-012 made of a high quality cobalt alloy is corrosive resistant and well suited for large volume samples and continuous prolonged processing.
  • Micro Tip - TP- 040 -
    Micro tip is used to treat very small volume samples. It features a thin top shape, in which top diameter is 3.2mm and the diameter of the joint connecting a tip and a horn is 14.5mm, and enables ultrasound energy to be concentrated at a focus to induce high density ultrasonic processing.
  • Special Micro Tip -TP - 030 - (Optional)
    A long and thin shaped tip has a diameter of 3.5mm and a length of 60mm, allowing for the treatment of the small volume sample in a slim tube.
  • Cup Horn - CH - 063 - (Optional)
    Cup Horn permits samples to be processed without a tip being dipped into them. It is specially designed to prevent contamination of samples. With the Cup Horn, ultrasonic waves are transmitted through water and walls of the sample vessel. Simply place samples into the Cup Horn and ultrasonic processing can be implemented without direct tip contact. Furthermore, the water can be circulating, thereby providing effective cooling for samples. It is also suited for very small volume samples that are likely to splash if processed using regular tips. The converter, when used in conjunction with the Cup Horn, should be placed upside down on the stand.
    Note: Cup Horn is not autoclavable.

Noise Reduction Box NR-201 is available to efficiently reduce noise generated by ultrasonic processing. It can reduce the noise emission by 19dB and is especially useful in operations for prolonged periods of time in experimental and research laboratories. The NR-201 has been designed so that the converter stand can be completely housed in the box, which allows the same easy processing as operations in routine use (without the noise reduction box). Noise Reduction Sheet NR-200 is also available as a simple method for reducing noise. Ultrasonic processing can be observed through transparent PVC sheets placed in four directions.

Equipped with Converter Stand for Optimum Performance

TOMY Ultrasonic Disruptor UD-211 is supplied with a converter stand that slides up and down to ensure safe and accurate ultrasonic treatment. A converter which weighs 7kg is mounted for support by the stand. The vertical position of the converter can be adjusted to the appropriate level for the sample with a handle. A clamp to hold beakers or tubes is also included as standard equipment. The converter stand which is designed to pursue high efficiency of ultrasonic processing offers trouble free operation.

UR - 21P Features

  • Ultrasonic Disruptor UR-21P with a 2.5mm diameter active surface area enables the simple and efficient ultrasonic treatment of very small volume samples.
  • Its compact and light design allows operation of the UR-21P with one hand.
  • It provides maximum ultrasonic processing with minimal loss in the power output. With variable power control, output amplitude can be adjusted.
  • When the converter is securely fixed by a clamp or onto a laboratory stand, the UR-21P, in conjunction with an optional footswitch, allows hands-free operation. (The converter is a hand-holding drive means which transmits ultrasonic energy to the working tip of the horn.)
